Quality Assurance Officer

Here at Curaleaf, we’re looking for a Quality Assurance Officer to join our Sunderland team and support the delivery of high standards across our GMP and GDP operations.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in deviations, CAPAs, root cause analysis, supplier quality, audits and continuous improvement, working closely with teams across the business to identify issues and put effective solutions in place.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Quality Management System (QMS) and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage and support deviations and CAPAs, including root cause analysis and risk assessment.
• Support supplier non-conformance investigations and supplier quality activities.
• Support complaints, recalls, audits and self-inspections.
• Prepare quality trend reports and support Periodic Quality Reviews (PQRs).
• Support supplier qualification and new projects from a Quality perspective.
• Maintain Quality Technical Agreements and quality documentation.
• Support Quality and Production training.
• Promote compliance with SOPs, GMP/GDP requirements and company procedures.
• Work collaboratively across the business to identify and address quality risks and opportunities.

About You

You’ll be a proactive QA professional with strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.

You’ll need:

• Previous experience in a Quality Assurance or similar role.
• Experience working within a GMP-regulated environment.
• Good knowledge of cGMP and Quality Management Systems.
• Practical experience with deviations and CAPA.
• Experience with root cause analysis and risk assessment.
• Strong communication, organisational and IT skills.
• The ability to learn quickly and work effectively across different teams.
• Sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities.

A science-related degree would be advantageous but is not essential where relevant experience is demonstrated.
