Bethany House is a modern, purpose-built 26-bed home outside Preston, Lancashire, where older people receive compassionate, person-centred care.
We are seeking compassionate and adaptable Care Assistants to join our friendly and dedicated Care Team at our home in Preston.
This is a bank/relief position.
We are a friendly and dynamic team focused on delivering high-quality care with empathy and respect for residents.
Responsibilities
- Provide high quality, professional care to residents.
- Support residents with personal care, including assistance with bathing when needed.
- Help residents with eating and drinking, ensuring nutrition and hydration needs are met.
- Get to know residents to offer comfort, reassurance, and support as required.
- Respect residents as individuals with unique and diverse needs.
- Promote dignity and independence, encouraging resident participation in community life within the home.
- Assist with tidying, cleaning, laundering and other domestic tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver excellent levels of care and support to residents.
Qualifications and requirements
- Care experience is preferred.
- Ability to work well in a team and support colleagues as needed.
- Well-organised, adaptable, and practical approach to tasks.
- Empathy for older people and a commitment to person-centred care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including days and nights (as required for bank shifts).
- Eligibility to work in the UK and evidence of right to work.
