About the Hotel
Perched above Portree harbour, The Bosville is a boutique hotel housed within a trio of 18th-century cottages. Stylishly restored, the hotel offers refined yet cosy interiors and spectacular harbour views. Its signature restaurant, Dulse & Brose, celebrates Skye’s larder with modern Scottish bistro dining, showcasing freshly landed seafood, Highland meats, and locally foraged ingredients.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for from the start.
- Take accurate orders and serve food with warmth, professionalism, and efficiency.
- Confidently promote and upsell menu items, including daily specials, desserts, and drinks.
- Share knowledge and passion for food and wine, including recommending pairings to enhance guest experiences.
- Support smooth-running service by coordinating with the kitchen and ensuring timely delivery of dishes.
- Maintain immaculate restaurant presentation, ensuring tables, cutlery, and service areas are always guest‑ready.
- Handle guest requests and feedback with confidence and care.
- Uphold all health, safety, and food hygiene standards.
