Electrical Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to lead the design, coordination, and execution of electrical engineering projects from concept through completion. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys technical problem-solving, project leadership, and collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Development and review of schematic drawings and single line diagrams
  • Complying with specific project safety requirements
  • Detailed design covering all aspects of High & Low voltage equipment and control and protection systems
  • Specification, selection, and procurement of the range of equipment
  • Preparation and interpretation of technical specifications and enquiry documentation
  • Assist with the preparation of technical and contract documentation for issue
  • Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports
  • Prepare method statements and risk assessments

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Suitable Candidates must have a third-level degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years’ experience working as an Electrical Engineer.
  • Experience working in the power and renewables sector.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload according to deadlines, together with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence colleagues at all levels.
  • Enjoy working as part of a high-performing team.
