Roles and Responsibilities
Taylor & Fraser OSM is seeking reliable and motivated Semi-skilled labourers to join our growing off-site manufacturing team.
The successful candidates will assist in the fabrication and assembly of structural frames used in the manufacture of high-quality modular pipe systems for data centre projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a modern manufacturing environment with ongoing training and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and fabricate Unistrut and Hilti modular support frames from engineering drawings.
- Measure, mark out and prepare materials for fabrication.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist skilled fabricators and welders during production.
- Drill, grind, deburr and prepare components for assembly.
- Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship.
- Ensure work areas remain clean, organised and safe.
- Follow company Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with loading, unloading and movement of materials where required.
- Previous experience in a workshop, manufacturing or construction environment.
- Ability to use measuring equipment accurately.
- Competent using hand and power tools.
- Good practical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good timekeeping and reliability.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable (not essential)
- Experience in steel fabrication or modular construction.
- Ability to read basic fabrication drawings.
- Abrasive Wheels certification.
- Manual Handling training.
