As a Manufacturing Lead Technician, you will support the Manufacturing Team Leader in the day-to-day coordination and delivery of Manufacturing operations. You will act as a technical and operational expert on the line providing first-line guidance to team members, ensuring adherence to schedule and supporting performance across safety, quality and productivity.

About the Role:

Reporting into the Manufacturing Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient execution of Manufacturing operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality while meeting delivery and cost.

First things first – Health & Safety:

  • Putting Health & Safety first in how you work, making sure your own actions and decisions support a safe working environment.
  • Identifying and promptly reporting Health & Safety hazards and incidents.
  • Following all Health & Safety procedures and challenging or escalating anything that could present a risk to people, product or site operations.

What you can expect in the Manufacturing Lead Technician role at TP:

  • Continually maintain a safe working environment for colleagues and self.
  • Proactively challenge unsafe working practices and behaviours where observed and promote the identification, and expedient resolution of hazards.
  • Support the Manufacturing Team Leader in coordinating daily line activities to meet schedules, ensuring lines under their responsibility hit the daily / weekly targets.
  • Perform and oversee manufacturing activities and processes of pharmaceutical products according to SOP’s, batch records and cGMP.
  • Setup and operation of equipment as set out in SOP’s ensuring first time right execution and meeting standard times.
  • Performing reconciliation / accountability and documentation reviews of batches according to cGMP.
  • Ensure the accurate capture of data for value stream analysis.
  • Ensuring line activities are performed according to cGMP to meet regulatory, customer and commercial expectations.
  • First point of contact for escalation and resolution of issues. Troubleshooting to minimise stoppages.
  • Documenting product quality incidents and supporting investigations.
  • Work collegiately with peers and stakeholders alike ensuring essential cross functional relationships are maintained and leveraged when necessary.
  • Proactively support and promote continuous improvement initiatives within own team and across wider business.
  • Work with Process Engineering function to implement and maintain 5S workplace management and controls.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties that may be required to support the business.

This role is based on-site.

  • Previous experience in manufacturing operations in a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or guide colleagues in an operational environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and compliance.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Able to undertake physical work including lifting, pushing and pulling in line with Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Able to stand/walk for the majority of the shift.
  • Flexible and willing to work overtime where required.
  • Willing to demonstrate consistently the company core values.
