Health & Safety Coordinator (Part-Time) Based at North Oxford Garage

About the Role

North Oxford Garage is seeking an organised and proactive Health & Safety Coordinator to support and maintain effective health & safety standards across our business. Working closely with our external H&S Consultant and the management team, you will help ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, promote safe working practices, and support a positive safety culture throughout the organisation. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with previous health & safety administration or coordination experience who is looking for a part-time role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day health & safety activities across the business
  • Maintain health & safety records, documentation, and compliance logs
  • Support risk assessments, audits, and inspections
  • Liaise with external advisors regarding health & safety matters
  • Monitor and follow up on actions arising from inspections or incidents
  • Assist with staff training records and policy updates
  • Promote safe working practices throughout the garage environment

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Organised, methodical, and detail-oriented
  • Confident communicating with colleagues at all levels
  • Experienced in an administrative or coordination role
  • Familiar with health & safety procedures and compliance requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintaining accurate records
  • Able to work independently and manage priorities effectively

Previous experience within the automotive sector or a health & safety qualification would be advantageous, but not essential.
