Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a busy kitchen
  • Knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
  • First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation governing childcare (e.g., Safeguarding)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality assistance to the Kitchen team in preparing nutritious meals for children aged 0-5
  • Assist with in-room lunch service and food-based activities, ensuring they are stimulating and engaging
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Collaborate with other staff members to support children's individual needs
  • Assist with ensuring the kitchen is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all children and staff
