We’re looking for a proactive, customer-focused Account Manager to develop and manage a portfolio of brokers, with a strong focus on driving sales performance and maintaining exceptional quality service standards.

Position
- Managing a portfolio of brokers, you will be responsible for achieving targets, seeking new sales opportunities, relationship management and other set KPI’s.
- Oversee agent renewal performance, ensuring alignment with retention targets.
- Monitor agent contract quality and training needs ensuring quote/query to sales ratio are in line with business standards.
- Conduct virtual/face-to-face meetings with brokers to enhance sales performance and promote Online Direct.
- Handle bespoke energy tenders, supporting brokers with the sales process, contract negotiations and close.
- Identify sales trends, competitive intelligence and broker product/service requirements.
- Ensure brokers have the appropriate knowledge and understanding of all available products, suppliers and promotions.
- Assess brokers bespoke business needs and recommend specific supply contracts, including pass-through, flexible purchasing, and fully fixed options.
- Understand how to analyse wholesale energy market reports and clearly communicate insights to brokers, demonstrating your knowledge of the I&C market and building trust.
- Use energy performance data to initiate discussions with brokers, highlighting the benefits for both their business and customers, recommending appropriate products.
- Collaborate with the Bespoke Pricing Team to ensure brokers tendering and pricing requirements are met in line with agreed SLA’s.
- Stay informed about regulatory developments and market conditions keeping brokers updated on key industry changes.
- Participate in various sales related projects to help grow and develop the business.
- Seek opportunities for professional development, ensuring you have the tools to effectively support and guide brokers.
Requirements
- Sales and/or account management experience highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining professionalism.
- Have a consultative, solution-orientated sales approach.
- Ability to create and present corporate price comparisons, offering informed recommendations to brokers.
- An inquisitive mindset and desire to continually learn new areas of the industry.
- Highly organised and efficient in managing workloads, deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Results driven, with a focus on achieving targets, maximising opportunities and striving for positive outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and experience with in-house database systems.
- Previous experience in the utilities industry an advantage but not essential.
