We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Building Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager (North). You will join an established multidisciplinary consultancy but be part of our new and growing Newcastle based office. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional looking to take on an equivalent Senior/Strategic role while having a clear path for progression into higher-level responsibilities. This role offers the opportunity to progress from a Programme Management level role to Group Head. Our purpose is to positively impact people’s lives. Responsibilities

  • The successful individual will lead and grow core service offerings in the Northeast of England, reporting into the Regional Managing Director.
  • Will have responsibility and oversight of securing new work and then employing a new team to deliver the work and overseeing this.
  • Requires excellent leadership qualities along with business development skills.
  • Build and maintain new and existing strategic client relationships to support programme business growth.
  • Ensure projects are led by individuals with suitable competency, experience, and technical expertise.
  • Actively assess and address capability gaps within project teams as part of PI risk management.
  • Lead key business development activities including on fee proposals and support bid submissions for the programme by identifying and pursuing quality new business opportunities to drive growth.
  • Provide excellent customer care by providing a quality service that does more than just focus on quality outputs, which must be considered the minimum standard.
  • Quality customer care will involve matching, or preferably, exceeding client expectations so that we become their preferred regular supplier.
  • Be integral to the positive culture of the Newcastle office.

Personal Specification (knowledge, skills, experience)

  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification (BSc (Hons) degree or similar in Building Surveying/Quantity surveying/Project Management) experience and/or breadth of knowledge and competence commensurate with this position.
  • MRICS or Associate membership of RICS or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Requires excellent leadership qualities along with business development skills.
  • People management skills is desired but not essential.
