We are looking for compassionate and adaptable Care Assistants to join our friendly and dedicated Care Team at Furze Hill House, our residential care home for older people in North Walsham. Our enthusiastic team provides high-quality care and support 24 hours a day, helping residents live with dignity, comfort and independence.
As a Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of our residents through person-centred care and meaningful relationships. Furze Hill House is a welcoming 40-bed residential care home offering permanent, respite and end-of-life care, including specialist support for people living with dementia.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality, professional service of care to our residents.
- Assist with all aspects of care, including personal care, end of life care, and nutritional help.
- Record nightly care entries on the care plan system.
- Support residents to eat and drink.
- Treat others as individuals with unique and diverse needs.
- Treat our residents with dignity and respect.
- Get to know residents so as to comfort, assist and give reassurance when needed.
- Support our residents to keep independent and healthy and encourage them to be part of the community within the home.
- Assist with tidying, cleaning, laundering and other domestic tasks when needed.
You need to be someone who enjoys working with older people and can have an empathy with them. You need to be able to work in a team and be willing to take on any task to provide an excellent level of care to our clients; and you need to be well-organised, adaptable and practical.
Hours Shifts: 21 hours to cover shifts between 7am and 9pm.
