Job Purpose
To assist the catering supervisor in the preparation and delivery of meals and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas. This role directly contributes to the wellbeing and happiness of our residents by supporting a balanced, nutritious diet and ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and care.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day smooth operation of the kitchen
- Understand and cater to special dietary needs, ensuring presentation and nutritional standards are met
- Support the kitchen team in preparing, cooking and plating high-quality meals
- Clean kitchen areas and equipment according to work schedules
- Assist with meal service in the dining areas
- Tidy up and wash dishes, utensils, and surfaces after meals
- Follow Food Hygiene and Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Ensure a safe, hygienic, and welcoming kitchen and food service environment
