PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Affinia is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our Top 35 Accountancy firm as a Semi‑Senior Cloud Accountant. The role will collaborate with the Digital Solutions and Cloud Accounting team to support client requirements and deliver high‑quality financial services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bookkeeping: Entering financial transactions into cloud‑based accounting software (e.g., Xero).
- Management Reporting: Preparing reports, such as income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Client Support: Communicating with clients, answering their questions and providing support.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues in the cloud accounting system.
- Data Analysis: Analysing financial data to identify trends and patterns.
- Learning and Development: Continuously learning and developing skills in cloud bookkeeping and related accounting software.
- Collaborative Work: Working with other Service Lines within our group.
- Additional responsibilities as needed in alignment with role expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- AAT qualified or ready to start further studies.
- Solid bookkeeping/management account experience, ideally in a practice environment.
- Experienced in cloud‑based accounting software.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial statements.
- Degree not essential but may be advantageous (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Business, Data Science).
- Qualifications in Maths and/or English may be advantageous but not essential.
- At least 5 GCSEs (Level 5 and above), including Maths and English Language.
- Clear written and spoken communication skills.
- Strong IT skills, with experience of Microsoft Office products.
- Enjoys learning both formally and on the job.
