IPRS PFAS is an independent provider of quality medical assessments using a network of specialist health practitioners based in various clinics, mostly in the Southeast of the UK. We pride ourselves on professionalism, teamwork and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct telephone and face‐to‐face assessments for DWP benefit claims.
  • Mentor and coach health care professionals (HCPs) in person or remotely, acting as the first point of contact for clinical questions and escalating issues as needed.
  • Analyse clinical information and medical evidence to produce clear, professional reports supporting DWP decision‐makers.
  • Conduct recorded assessments and use IT software to support clinical decision‐making during examinations.
  • Collaborate with the Service Delivery Manager to develop best practices, attend stakeholder meetings and audit cases, providing immediate feedback to HCPs.
  • Deliver Stage 3 and classroom training to new HCPs, conduct live case observations with coaching and feedback, perform ad hoc duties, and review performance metrics.
  • Ensure all work meets regulatory, contractual and clinical governance requirements.
  • Participate in a structured Clinical Standards Lead (CSL) development pathway and work towards full CSL competency across all metrics.
  • Engage in coaching, mentoring and audit reviews, and actively reflect on feedback to demonstrate measurable improvement.
  • Maintain CPD and CME aligned to professional registration and CSL expectations.
  • Maintain a strong senior clinical presence through on‐site or video interactions, fostering collaboration with operational colleagues.
  • Communicate clinical and quality objectives to the team, monitor progress and provide stakeholder feedback.
  • Operate the Clinical Support Chat (CSC).
  • Maintain high standards in report writing, productivity and professional conduct.
  • Conduct sufficient assessments to stay clinically current and support business needs.
  • Pursue ongoing personal and professional development, adhering to CPD/CME and current practice guidelines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve PFAS services while ensuring client and claimant confidentiality and data security.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, mandatory training and any other duties appropriate to the role.

Qualifications

  • Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist registered with HCPC.
  • Paramedic registered with HCPC.
  • Registered Nurse registered with NMC.

Experience & Knowledge

  • At least 12 months of postgraduate clinical experience.
  • Experience conducting high‐quality PIP assessments, quality assurance, clinical report checking or audits.
  • Proficiency with online reporting systems, databases and interpreting statistics for management.
  • Understanding of PFAS operational procedures a plus.
  • History of successful delivery of NET Training and Stage 3 coaching.

Skills & Abilities

  • Proven ability to meet targets as a PIP assessor and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, influence, negotiation and adaptability to change.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with change management and working within diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in databases and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong written communication, report writing and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Registered health professional (e.g., NMC, HCPC).
