Purpose and objectives of the role:
As a Static Handyman, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of building services systems across the site. Reporting directly to the Contract Manager, you'll help ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all facilities and plant equipment.
Main duties and responsibilities:
You'll be involved in a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance activities, including:
- L8 water hygiene monitoring
- AHU servicing and maintenance
- Pump servicing and maintenance
- Minor electrical works
- Basic plumbing repairs, including taps, flush valves, siphons, and waste pipework
- BEMS/BMES system monitoring and control panel interrogations
- Completing statutory PPMs in line with SFG20 requirements
- Maintaining accurate electronic and paper-based maintenance records
- Housekeeping of plant rooms and service areas
- Supervising and coordinating subcontractors on site.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in Building Maintenance role.
- Recognised apprenticeship
- Experience within a commercial maintenance environment.
- Regular company socials
- 31 days AL (inclusive of public and bank holidays), increases to 33 days after 5 years’ service
- Employee of the month voucher
- Screwfix card.
