We are looking to recruit a full time Conveyancing Assistant to join our thriving Residential Conveyancing Department in Lincoln.
The Conveyancing Assistant duties include:
- Typing of correspondence, reports, and other documents - including some audio typing.
- Opening and closing files.
- Arranging client appointments.
- Progression of case management under supervision.
- Updating third party portals - such as Land Registry, LMS and Lender Exchange
- Answering telephone calls promptly, taking messages and following up where necessary.
- Exchanging of contracts and progressing files to completion.
- Using own initiative and being able to work as part of a team.
- Undertaking departmental systems administration and third-party reporting.
The ideal candidate must:
- Have a high level of confidentiality.
- Have an in depth understanding of the legal assistant role and administration processes.
- Have excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Be able to work as part of a team and communicate the team's needs to others.
- Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Be able to prioritise and organise workload.
- Be reliable and diligent, with good attention to detail.
- Be able to organise, influence and monitor the allocation of work amongst the team (in a co-ordinating role)
Qualifications and Experience
- A good level of education
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a law firm or within a similar environment would be preferable.
