We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our Technical team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, based at our Letchworth office with regular visits to live development sites as required.
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will provide technical design expertise and coordinate architectural information across multiple housing developments, ensuring projects are delivered to company standards, programme, budget and regulatory requirements. You'll produce detailed working drawings, manage technical approvals, liaise with internal teams and external consultants, and support construction activities through regular site visits. You'll also mentor junior team members, contribute to continuous improvements within the Technical team, and help ensure our developments remain buildable, compliant and commercially successful.
Skills & knowledge you’ll bring
- Relevant degree, with CIAT accreditation or working towards it.
- Proven experience within a residential housebuilding environment.
- Strong knowledge of current Building Regulations, NHBC standards and technical compliance requirements.
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring team members, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to demanding deadlines.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the confidence to collaborate effectively across departments, consultants and site teams.
- Strong IT skills including packages such as AutoCAD, with the ability to produce detailed working drawings.
