About Creative Care – Leicester Complex Care Service:

Located in the heart of Leicester, Creative Care offers a warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully adapted supported living setting for adults with complex care needs. Our service supports individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health conditions, and autism. Each resident benefits from a private, individually designed flat, many with access to gardens, promoting independence and comfort. With a strong focus on person-centred care, we provide 24-hour support tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and nurturing environment where residents can thrive.

Important Information About This Role:

The role requires resilience, confidence, and the ability to remain calm and professional in situations that can be physically and emotionally demanding. Successful candidates should be comfortable supporting individuals during periods of distress and be committed to promoting positive outcomes through person-centred and Positive Behaviour Support approaches.

A Day in the Life of a Support Worker:

No two days are the same, just like the individuals we support. As a Support Worker, you'll be instrumental in delivering bespoke, person-centred care. Your role is to help them achieve meaningful outcomes, however big or small. From providing personal care and supporting individuals with complex behavioural needs, to encouraging independence and building strong, trusting relationships, you'll play a vital role in helping people live fulfilling and meaningful lives.

This role can be both physically and emotionally demanding. You will regularly support individuals who display behaviours that challenge and may be required to respond to incidents using de-escalation techniques, Positive Behaviour Support strategies, and agreed support plans. Successful candidates will need to remain calm, resilient, professional, and compassionate in challenging situations while maintaining the safety and wellbeing of the people we support, colleagues, and themselves.

Employee Benefits:

  • Training & Development: Access accredited and in-house training courses. We cover the cost of your qualification, and upon completing Level 2 or above, you’ll receive a £150 bonus (plus £50 for completing the Care Certificate).
  • Welcome Bonus: Receive a £250 bonus – £50 after 4 weeks of service and £200 after completing 2 months.
  • Discount Schemes: We cover the cost of your Blue Light Card, giving you access to discounts on childcare, shopping, and online courses.
  • Refer a Friend: Earn a £200 bonus for each successful referral who joins Creative Care.
  • Technology Support: Benefit from digital tools including rota and care planning apps, with full training provided.

What We’re Looking For:

While experience in care is welcome, it’s not essential—full training is provided. We’re looking for compassionate individuals who share our values and are dedicated to making a positive impact. You’ll be a strong advocate for those you support, helping to create a nurturing, innovative, and inclusive environment where both residents and staff can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor new colleagues during induction to support high-quality care delivery.
  • Participate in supervision, observation and appraisal processes.
  • Provide effective communication including accurate written reports.
  • Help maintain a caring environment aligned with best practice, guidance and legislative requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality care in line with support plans and organisational policy (including personal care, physical and mental support, medication, activities and engagement).
  • Promote high levels of satisfaction among people we support, families, colleagues and commissioners.
  • Support the Service Manager with complaints and concerns following WCL policy.
  • Maintain positive relationships with families, the community, and external partners.
  • Understand and implement safeguarding procedures.

Person Specification:

  • A recognised health or social care qualification.
  • Evidence of wanting to professionally develop.
  • Willingness and ability to learn.
  • Experience supporting people with disabilities, older people, dementia or mental health needs.
