A vacancy has arisen for an Industrial Cleaner to join our team predominately within our Enfinium contract but will also require secondary work across our Yorkshire Water contract. The role is required to support the operational services by carrying out various duties including cleaning as well as general site activities at the Skelton Grange Energy from Waste Plant and Yorkshire Water sites. Flexibility is key within this role as there will be a requirement to travel between sites.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in areas of industrial cleaning to a high standard
- Ensure conveyors are kept clean & free from risks and hazards
- Maintain high levels of cleaning on floors & walkways
- Update supervisor on the condition of work area and report any incidents or potential hazards to supervisor immediately
- General cleaning of the tipping hall
- Have a good understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
- Understanding of Safe Working Procedures
- Support the daily operational activities of the energy from waste plant
- Traffic management duties
- Provide assistance in the field when and where needed
- Required to support secondary roles within the operation
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude to safety
- Able to communicate well at all levels
- Have a good understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
- Flexible approach to work
- A strong team player
- Ability to work independently and on own initiative
- Good time keeping and willing to work overtime as necessary
- Able to share knowledge and skills with other Hargreaves personnel
- Reactive and proactive in service/operations to ensure no disruption
- Qualified & competent to operate forklift truck to NPORS level (Advantage)
