We have a vacancy for a skilled butcher at our Kingswinford site. Working Monday to Friday 6:00 am - 4:00 pm this is a great opportunity to work with an enthusiastic and hardworking team. You may be required to work outside of these hours should the business require it.

You will be working within the butchery team to complete the daily planning order to a high standard ensuring that quality and pace are maintained. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all products are boned out/trimmed to meet customer/company specifications whilst also maximising yield and minimising waste.
  • Breaking down lamb cuts to customer/company specification.
  • Carrying out all tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures, particularly with regard to health and safety and food safety.
  • Driving and delivering necessary processing efficiency through consistent and correct equipment operation.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to quality, HSE, animal welfare, food safety, hygiene, ethical, product labelling and handling processes.
  • Following traceability process and ensuring product and labelling integrity at all times.

Previous experience in a food production environment is essential. Ability to demonstrate knife skills for the skilled roles, or willingness to learn in semi-skilled/trainee roles. Applicants will be invited on site for a block test as part of the recruitment process.

Applicants should have the ability to work on their own initiative whilst working as part of a team, striving to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
