The Role

We are looking for an experienced and driven Internal Sales Team Lead to oversee and support our internal sales function, helping drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth across the business. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational and leadership skills who thrives in a fast-paced technology environment. You will be responsible for leading and developing the internal sales team, supporting account managers, improving internal processes, and ensuring the smooth delivery of customer and partner engagements. Working closely with Sales, Customer Success, Services, and Vendor Partners, you will play a key role in maintaining high service standards, supporting revenue growth, and driving team performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support the Internal Sales team to ensure high performance and professional development
  • Manage team workload, priorities, and day-to-day operational activities
  • Work closely with Account Managers to ensure quotes are raised accurately and orders are processed efficiently
  • Support the successful delivery of customer solutions to ensure value realisation and risk reduction
  • Assist in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through service review meetings and proactive account support
  • Collaborate with Account Managers on account strategies to strengthen customer relationships and identify growth opportunities
  • Oversee administrative and operational support functions for the sales team
  • Help facilitate seamless transitions from the sales process into customer success and service delivery teams
  • Support contract renewals and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the partner and vendor community
  • Ensure sales targets and operational KPIs are achieved across the internal sales function
  • Manage deal registrations, pricing requests, and business justifications with vendor partners
  • Monitor CRM accuracy and sales process compliance across the team
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability
  • Produce regular reporting on team activity, pipeline support, and operational performance
  • Support onboarding and training of new internal sales team members

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in an internal sales, sales support, or customer-facing commercial role
  • Previous experience mentoring, coaching, or leading team members
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong commercial awareness with a customer-first mindset
  • Experience working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across sales, customer success, and technical teams
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
  • Passion for learning, teamwork, and contributing to a positive company culture
  • Experience within cybersecurity, managed services, or the wider IT channel
  • Experience working with vendor partners and deal registration processes
  • Understanding of renewals, quoting processes, and sales operations
