With stores across the UK, Ireland, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, we're looking for an organised, proactive and people-focused HR Officer to join our Head Office team in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive HR team where no two days are the same. You'll play a key role in supporting colleagues and managers across our retail stores and central functions, helping to deliver a first-class HR service throughout the employee lifecycle. As HR Officer, you'll be a key point of contact for HR support across the business, providing advice, guidance and administrative support to managers and colleagues.
Responsibilities- Supporting the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to leavers
- Preparing contracts, offer letters, references and other employment documentation
- Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring compliance with Right to Work and employment documentation requirements
- Managing HR system updates and being the expert for HR systems queries
- Producing regular HR reports and management information, including recruitment, absence and turnover data
- Liaising closely with payroll to ensure colleague information is accurate and up to date
- Supporting recruitment activity, including advertising vacancies and assisting managers through the hiring process
- Providing first-line HR advice and guidance on policies, procedures and people matters
- Supporting managers with absence management and employee relations processes
- Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the department
- Previous experience in an HR Administrator or HR Officer role
- Good knowledge of HR processes and employee lifecycle administration
- Experience providing first-line HR support and guidance
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence working with HR systems and producing people-related reports
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
- A genuine passion for delivering excellent service and supporting people
- An understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice
- CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD (desirable)
