Overview
Atlantic Projects Company (APC) is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to provide dedicated, on-site HR support for a major UK construction project.
Position Summary
This role is focused on craft recruitment, onboarding, and full employee lifecycle support, ensuring a compliant, well-supported, and effectively managed workforce throughout the duration of the project. Working closely with project leadership and construction teams, the HR Advisor will play a key role in maintaining consistent HR standards and practices and supporting employee relations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end craft recruitment, including job postings, CV screening, interview scheduling, and compliance checks.
- Issue accurate offers and contracts in line with legal and project requirements.
- Responsible for supporting the full employee lifecycle in collaboration with the HR Team and Labour Relations Manager, including onboarding, day-to-day employee support, performance and capability matters, and exit processes.
- Lead onboarding, inductions, and training coordination to ensure employees are compliant and site-ready.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee HR queries.
- Provide day-to-day HR guidance to site leadership and employees.
- Support grievance, disciplinary, and employee relations processes in line with company policy and employment law.
- Responsible for supporting absence management processes, including absence monitoring and reporting, facilitation of Occupational Health input where required, and support for return-to-work and capability procedures in line with company policy and UK employment law.
- Promote fair, consistent, and compliant application of HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate personnel records, HR specific tracking documents, and training matrixes.
- Support audits, ECITB training claims, and regulatory compliance.
- Uphold GDPR and data protection requirements, escalating risks where appropriate.
- Support HR systems, training platforms, and workforce communications.
- Support the development of site-specific policies and procedures, where required and in coordination with the HR and project team.
- Work collaboratively with IR manager and payroll, providing timely and accurate documentation.

Minimum Requirements
- 3 years’ HR experience, ideally within a site-based or operational environment.
- CIPD Level 3 or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of UK employment law, HR compliance, and HR systems.
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information and sensitive employee matters.
Preferred:
- Experience within the construction sector.
- Experience with the NAECI Blue Book.
