The Fairlie Healthcare Group is a leading provider of high-quality care which was established in 1999. We specialise in caring for adults with neurological conditions, as well as patients with tracheostomies, and who require ventilator support. We currently have three homes, Fairlie House in West Norwood, Highfield House in Purley, and Woodstown House in Banstead, which opened its doors to its first residents in April 2021. All three homes have achieved the highest rating from the Care Quality Commission, and we continually strive to maintain our 'Outstanding' rating.
We are searching for an outstanding Domestic Cleaner for the Fairlie Healthcare Group. At Fairlie Healthcare, we operate three specialised care centres in West Norwood, Purley and Banstead, all providing care for people with complex neurological and respiratory conditions.
Scope
The Housekeeping Assistant will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. The duties will include:
- Cleaning bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms, clinical rooms, sluice rooms & therapy rooms.
- Cleaning communal resident’s lounge, communal dining room, offices, changing rooms, stairs, and corridors.
What will my duties be?
- Adhering to the cleaning work schedule and ensuring tasks are completed while maintaining quality standards.
- Demonstrating courtesy, consideration, and kindness when working with residents.
- Working effectively within the Housekeeping Team and upholding the home’s core values.
- Coordinating with management and staff to deal with unexpected cleaning tasks.
- Storing cleaning materials correctly as required by COSHH and keeping all equipment in good working order.
- Carrying out all safety measures and attending training on health and safety, safeguarding, infection prevention and control, and other relevant topics.
What do I need to be successful?
- Must have full right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
- No specific qualifications are needed, although some experience in cleaning and working within a laundry environment is beneficial.
- Being consistent, reliable, and hard-working with the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Full training from Housekeeping will be provided to the successful candidate.
