Hollybank Trust, based in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, is a charity founded in 1954 with a number of adult and children’s residential homes, including an outstanding school, nursery, onsite speech therapy, physiotherapy and hydrotherapy services. About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive and dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and experienced individual to contribute to high-quality teaching and learning, supporting pupils to reach their full potential. You will work closely with teachers to deliver lessons, lead learning activities, and provide targeted support to individuals and small groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities under teacher guidance
  • Lead whole-class teaching when required
  • Support pupils with varying needs, including SEND
  • Monitor, assess and record pupil progress
  • Provide feedback to teachers and contribute to planning
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support behaviour management in line with school policies

Hollybank Trust is committed to Safeguarding vulnerable people, and our Safer Recruitment process requires all employees to have an Enhanced DBS check and reference checks in line with our Recruitment & Selection policy. We will pay for your initial DBS check, unless you have a portable DBS; however, if the candidate leaves voluntarily within the first 12 months, £58.90 will be deducted from your final salary payment.
