Purpose of the role

We’re looking for a Wedding and Events Sales Coordinator to join our energetic Sales Team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is organised, confident with people and excited by the buzz of a busy events environment. You will be at the heart of the customer journey, from first enquiry and show-round to proposal, event details and to the handover to our events managers, helping clients create events and experiences to remember.

Key duties

  • Work across our two exciting and well-known venues with a focus on increasing revenue at Pavilions of Harrogate.
  • Be part of a friendly, supportive and passionate team.
  • Help deliver weddings, celebrations, live events and more.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and provide an excellent customer experience at every stage.
  • Respond to enquiries promptly, accurately and professionally.
  • Create tailored proposals with strong attention to detail.
  • Prepare accurate, up-to-date function sheets and supporting documentation.
  • Upsell confidently to enhance each event and increase value.
  • Use energy, creativity and commercial awareness to attract new business and maximise opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Arrange and deliver engaging client viewings and venue tours.
  • Promote the venues at exhibitions, networking, awards and other industry events.
  • Confidently present to clients and agents, showcasing what makes our venues special.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agents and internal stakeholders, to retain repeat business.
  • Ensure all information is communicated to other departments including operations and catering team.
  • Use the event diary and CRM proactively to manage leads, bookings and follow-up on sales activity.
  • Coordinate client requirements and requests efficiently.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the sales plan to increase bookings and revenue.
  • Ensure invoices, orders and other documentation are accurate and produced on time.
  • Keep all client records up to date and complete.
  • Confidently make proactive and reactive sales calls.

  • Previous experience in venue, hospitality, hotel sales or events is desirable.

General responsibilities

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days of 7 (some evenings/ weekends)
