The Role

As a Senior Engineer in Engineering Projects, you will provide technical leadership across a portfolio of offshore renewable energy projects, supporting the development, delivery and continuous improvement of engineering activities. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards, helping to develop innovative solutions and supporting the growth and capability of the wider engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership across engineering projects and programmes
  • Accountable for technical delivery, quality, cost and scope across multiple projects
  • Lead and coordinate the delivery of engineering activities with multidisciplinary teams across multiple projects and programmes
  • Provide subject matter expertise across technology development and engineering disciplines
  • Support the development and scoping of new projects and opportunities
  • Work closely with industry partners, supply chain and stakeholders
  • Mentor and support engineers, graduates and interns
  • Ensure engineering processes, standards and best practice are maintained and improved
  • Represent ORE Catapult at industry events and forums

About You

  • Degree in an engineering or related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer (or working towards)
  • Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in engineering/project delivery
  • Strong technical knowledge across engineering principles and practices
  • Proven experience delivering projects with ownership and accountability
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to others
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Able to make sound technical decisions and operate with a high level of autonomy
