The Role
As a Senior Engineer in Engineering Projects, you will provide technical leadership across a portfolio of offshore renewable energy projects, supporting the development, delivery and continuous improvement of engineering activities. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards, helping to develop innovative solutions and supporting the growth and capability of the wider engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across engineering projects and programmes
- Accountable for technical delivery, quality, cost and scope across multiple projects
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of engineering activities with multidisciplinary teams across multiple projects and programmes
- Provide subject matter expertise across technology development and engineering disciplines
- Support the development and scoping of new projects and opportunities
- Work closely with industry partners, supply chain and stakeholders
- Mentor and support engineers, graduates and interns
- Ensure engineering processes, standards and best practice are maintained and improved
- Represent ORE Catapult at industry events and forums
About You
- Degree in an engineering or related discipline
- Chartered Engineer (or working towards)
- Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in engineering/project delivery
- Strong technical knowledge across engineering principles and practices
- Proven experience delivering projects with ownership and accountability
- Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to others
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Able to make sound technical decisions and operate with a high level of autonomy
