Role Definition
As the Process Waste Controller, the role would involve collecting processed meat waste from production lines, weighing them, printing waste labels, boxing waste and moving them to the sell-off area. This position involves a bit of lifting and is based in a chilled fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Take unsuitable produced products and waste them efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure necessary replenishment requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality, food safety, hygiene, ethical, product labelling and allergen handling processes.
- Follow traceability process and ensure product and labelling integrity at all times.
- Drive necessary line efficiency through consistent and correct machine operation.
- Keep and maintain appropriate records as required.
- Carry out waste checks when required.
- Ensure own familiarity and compliance with company policies and procedures, standards of operation and safe operating procedures.
- Ensure consistent and timely attendance.
- Provide flexibility to meet company operating requirements.
- Print out waste labels to ensure correct disposal.
- Provide pro-active and supportive verbal and written communication to team members, supervisors and managers to ensure all products are sourced and manufactured to the food safety and brand integrity requirements defined by our customers.

- Speaking, writing and understanding basic spoken and written English language (essential health and safety, traceability and quality control requirement).
- Basic numeracy skills.

Pay Rate and Shift Pattern
£12.71 per hour, Full-time permanent, 14:15 – 22:15 Back Shift OR 6:30 – 14:30 Day shift.
