We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join Suir Engineering Ltd. This position will be supportinga DC Project in Glasgow

What you will be doing
- Development and review of schematic drawings and single line diagrams for HV, LV, generator, UPS and busbar distribution systems, ensuring concurrent maintainability to Tier III design intent
- Complying with specific project safety requirements, including CDM 2015, the Principal Contractor's Construction Phase Plan, permit-to-work, LOTO and energisation procedures (no live working)
- Detailed design reviews covering all aspects of High & Low voltage equipment and control and protection systems, including generator controls, EPMS, earthing, lightning protection and protection discrimination studies
- Specification, selection, and procurement of the range of equipment, including coordination of client-supplied (OFCI) plant such as transformers, switchgear, generators and UPS
- Preparation and interpretation of technical specifications and enquiry documentation for subcontract and Contractor Design Portion packages
- Assist with the preparation of technical and contract documentation for issue, including design submittals, commissioning dossiers, O&M manuals, record drawings and test certificates
- Liaise with the client, Principal Contractor, design consultants and suppliers to resolve technical queries and RFIs
Is this job for me?
- Suitable Candidates must have a third level degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years’ experience working as an Electrical Engineer.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience working in mission critical sectors.
- Ability to prioritise workload according to deadlines together with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to influence colleagues at all levels.
