About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and driven 2 x Production Butchery Supervisors to join our team. This is a key role within our production operation, responsible for overseeing daily butchery activities, ensuring product quality, meeting production targets, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily butchery operations across the production lines
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of butchers and production operatives
- Ensure all cutting, trimming, and portioning meets customer specifications and quality standards
- Monitor yield performance and drive continuous improvement in efficiency
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations (e.g. HACCP)
- Work closely with Technical, Planning, and Operations teams to meet production targets
- Manage labour allocation, shift performance, and productivity levels
- Conduct regular team briefings, performance reviews, and training sessions
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality and reduce waste
About You
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a butchery or meat processing environment
- Strong technical butchery skills (beef & lamb experience advantageous)
- Good understanding of quality standards and customer specifications
- Knowledge of food safety systems and compliance requirements
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Flexible approach to shift work when required
