Reporting to the Team Leader, the Factory Operative will operate machinery to produce and fit Energy Storage products at our Williton Factory to satisfy customer quality and demand. All tasks are carried out in strict adherence to Kingspan's HSE procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture parts for diesel dispensers, oil, water and storage tanks and any new products or variations which may be introduced, to the standards defined within the specification and the company quality system.
- Product assembly of the full range of products, which includes the following duties: following specification sheets, loading and unloading of ovens, component assembly to finished goods, cutting, drilling, flaming, sub assembly of steel fabrications, etc.
- Maintain high quality standards in accordance with ISO9001.
- Maintenance of equipment and work area.
- Disciplined and comply with Health and Safety regulations.
- Work continental shifts, alternate days and nights.
- Work safely and effectively in accordance with the Work Instructions for the tasks and comply with all Health and Safety Standards.
- Ensure all products meet with Customer specifications and are well presented.
- Carry out all safety, production, quality checks, and complete documentation as appropriate.
- Work within a team or unsupervised, and ensure “right first time”.
- Any other task as reasonably required.
- Minimise downtimes in all areas.
What we are looking for:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) grade C or above in Mathematics, and English Language. Significant relevant experience in a warehousing role may be considered in lieu of academic qualifications.
- Experience within a fast-moving Manufacturing operating heavy machinery.
- Practical knowledge of assembly techniques consistent with the company product range.
- Experience in using hand tools including drills.
- Critical Thinking and Problem Solving.
- Ability to accurately measure and document production activities.
- Mature attitude to work which encompasses Health & Safety, Quality.
- To be thorough and pay attention to detail.
- Effective Time Management.
