About the Role
- Ensuring the premises are safe and well-maintained by conducting daily inspections for any potential Health and Safety hazards.
- Keeping an electronic maintenance log and ensuring all issues are reported and addressed in a timely manner.
- Verifying all tasks with the Manager, except in the case of emergencies.
- Ensuring lights, particularly bulbs, are working properly throughout the premises.
- Maintaining tidy gardens, yards, and fire exit areas, especially during poor weather conditions.
- Checking and maintaining hot water and heating systems.
- Regularly carrying out painting jobs, including 'touching up' areas as needed.
- Inspecting drains and gutters weekly to ensure proper functioning.
- Organising and testing fire equipment, hoists, lifts, boilers, air conditioners, and other equipment.
- Carrying out weekly fire drills and documenting findings in the Fire Drill Log Book.
- Keeping all records up to date and notifying the Administrator/Directors of any potential hazards for further action.
- Being flexible and adaptable to new tasks and responsibilities as required by the company.
