We require Hygiene Operatives to work in our Newry Site. Working from 3pm, Monday to Thursday, and 1pm Friday until finish, this role requires flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours when required. Working with the Hygiene team to complete the daily hygiene to a high standard.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all the equipment in the factory (machinery, belts, etc.) are cleaned to the high standard - full training and PPE will be provided.
  • To adhere to safe working practices in accordance with legislation and company rules and regulations.
  • Promptly report any accidents, incidents or near misses to your manager or supervisor.
  • Report to your Manager/Supervisor of the area concerned any maintenance requirements.
  • To work in a manner as to prevent or minimize the risk of accidents.
  • To adhere to current legislation with regards to safe food production.
  • To comply with managers/supervisors instructions in a timely manner.
  • To ensure full understanding of all instructions given and ask for clarification if necessary.
  • To be responsible for the security and effective use of consumables during day-to-day activities.
  • To undertake such other reasonable duties as may from time to time be required.
  • Carry out all duties with respect for Health and Safety and housekeeping standards and regulations.
  • Observe Company Policy on flexibility by moving to any other job necessary.
  • Undertake training/retraining and train other employees as required.
  • Undertake Chemical training at ABP Newry.
  • Observe Company philosophy on proposals and continuous improvement for the betterment of plant, methods, working environment and efficiency.
  • Observe and adhere to the Company's Equal Opportunities Policy, ensuring that a neutral environment is maintained.
