Female Learning Disability Support Worker
Guernsey House is home to 4 women in their 20s who each use wheelchairs, one of which is non-verbal and communicates with Makaton, and they all have a shared passion for fashion, beauty, shopping, and coffee trips. Then, Park Drive is home to two men and a lady with diverse needs who each enjoy a range of hobbies and engage in their local community. We’re seeking team members who can share in these individuals’ passions and provide support with a keen sense of fun and motivation.
- Full Time Hours ( Days ) 1 x 42 hours per week
- Salary - £12.71 Days

What We're Looking For
Although previous experience would be great, it’s not essential, as all training and qualifications are provided on the job! The following attributes would be hugely beneficial:
- Experience with Makaton communication
- Full UK Driver's license
- An interest and willingness to engage in the hobbies of the people we support at Guernsey House and Park Drive

We achieve this by providing compassionate support through our residential homes, supported living schemes, and various community-based services.
Do you have a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care (or something similar)? (This is sometimes called an NVQ, Diploma, or RQF Level 2.)
Do you have experience supporting individuals with any of the following: acquired brain injuries, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health conditions, dementia, or age-related care needs?
Do you hold a full UK driving license?
Do you have the right to work in the UK without needing visa sponsorship?
Can you please enter a valid Share Code to prove your right to work in the UK (If you are a British/Irish citizen just put N/A)?
Have you worked in the UK for at least 6 months?

Are you comfortable using technology such as phones, tablets or computers at work? (We use these for things like clocking in and out, checking rotas, booking time off, and updating care plans. Full training is given.)
