Salary: £8.00 per hour, increasing after the first year of apprenticeship.

Hours: 35 (Term time only)

Working pattern: Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:00, Friday 08:00-15:30.

Hollybank Trust SEN School are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years Apprentice to join their friendly team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children and young people from 2 to 8 years, while gaining valuable experience, training, and qualifications in a nurturing, supportive environment.

Job Description

  • Planning and implementing fun and educational activities with the children and young people
  • Play alongside and with children/young people to support their play
  • Supporting children and children's creative and imaginative experiences
  • Supervising children and young people at mealtimes
  • Contributing to and promoting health and safety

Entry requirements & Person Specification

  • Good Maths- A-C (9-4) Grades in maths or equivalent is desired but not essential
  • Good English - A-C (9-4) Grades in English or equivalent is desired but not essential

This position would suit a candidate who is able to work on their own initiative and is prepared to commit to the work required for an apprenticeship.

If you are using public transport to get to this employer, please ensure you have researched the route and that a regular service is available, you would be required to access Barnsley college weekly - to gain the level 3 qualification. Progression to a higher-level qualification or full-time employment may be available after completion of the apprenticeship.

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer sponsorship to work in the UK. Hollybank Trust is committed to Safeguarding vulnerable people, and our Safer Recruitment process requires all employees to have an Enhanced DBS check and reference checks in line with our Recruitment & Selection policy. We will pay for your initial DBS check, unless you have a portable DBS, however, if the candidate leaves voluntarily within the first 12 months, £58.90 will be deducted from your final salary payment.
