The Role

PAYALLY GLOBAL is looking for an experienced credit and investment professional to join PA INV UK Ltd as a Director and take responsibility for developing its loan note and credit business. The role covers both sides of the business: working with professional market participants who invest through PA INV UK Ltd loan notes and deploying available capital into suitable credit opportunities. This is a hands-on commercial role. We are looking for someone who can originate business, understand and structure credit, speak confidently with professional investors and borrowers, negotiate terms and take responsibility for a transaction from the first discussion through to repayment.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with professional investors, family offices and investment businesses.
  • Manage PA INV UK Ltd loan note subscriptions, maturities, renewals and repayments.
  • Originate financing opportunities across real estate, bridging, trade and invoice finance, working capital, asset-backed lending and other private-credit transactions.
  • Assess borrowers, cash flows, repayment sources, security, LTV, project economics and downside risk.
  • Structure and negotiate interest, fees, maturity, security, guarantees, covenants and repayment terms.
  • Take commercial ownership of transactions from origination through documentation, funding and repayment.
  • Manage the existing loan portfolio, identifying credit issues early and handling extensions, restructurings and recoveries where required.
  • Manage funding and liquidity, balancing investor capital, borrower deployment, maturities, expected returns and concentration risk.
  • Develop new business through investors, borrowers, brokers, advisers and the wider PAYALLY GLOBAL network.
  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance, KYC and Finance to ensure transactions meet the required governance framework.

We are looking for a commercially driven private-credit professional who can originate opportunities, assess risk, structure sensible financing solutions and build long-term relationships. The successful candidate will become a Director of PA INV UK Ltd and should be comfortable taking ownership of both the funding and lending sides of the business. The focus is on building a sustainable, profitable and well-managed credit portfolio, rather than simply maximising lending volume.

Candidate requirements

  • Significant practical experience in private credit, corporate lending, structured finance, real estate finance, trade finance, invoice finance/factoring, asset-backed lending, debt investments or alternative investments.
  • Strong understanding of credit assessment, deal structuring and private debt instruments, including loan notes.
  • Experience working with professional investors, family offices, private credit funds or other sophisticated counterparties is highly desirable.
  • Strong financial analysis and credit judgement, including the ability to assess financial statements, cash flow, collateral, corporate structures and repayment capacity.
  • Proven ability to identify and evaluate credit risks, security and sources of repayment.
  • Commercial and entrepreneurial mindset, with experience originating, structuring and negotiating transactions.
  • Confident dealing with experienced investors, borrowers, advisers and other professional counterparties.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the judgement to challenge or decline transactions that do not make commercial sense.
  • Pragmatic and solutions-focused, with the ability to structure transactions efficiently without unnecessary complexity.
  • Comfortable taking commercial ownership and accountability for transactions from initial opportunity through execution and repayment.

What we offer

The role offers a competitive fixed salary together with a meaningful performance-based bonus, providing strong upside for successful performance. The bonus will reflect the overall contribution to the growth and profitability of the business, taking into account factors such as:

  • investor capital attracted and retained;
  • successful and responsible deployment of capital;
  • interest margin and fee income generated;
  • overall portfolio profitability and performance;
  • repayment and recovery outcomes;
  • development of long-term investor and borrower relationships;
  • portfolio quality and credit performance.

The remuneration structure is designed to reward sustainable, profitable growth and strong long-term relationships, rather than focusing solely on transaction or origination volumes. In addition, we offer:

  • 25 days’ annual leave plus England & Wales bank holidays
  • Your birthday off
  • A performance-led environment with the opportunity to play a key role in growing the business
