We are looking for Warehouse/Hygiene Operative to join our manufacturing site in Crick, Northamptonshire. These are permanent positions available on days or nights shift.
On Offer:
- 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (12‑hour shifts)
- This shift pattern offers predictability, extended rest periods, and the ability to plan time outside of work.
- Average of 42 hours per week
- Days: 06:00 - 18:00
- Nights: 18:00 - 06:00
- Days Hourly rate: £17.39 (£14.79 plus a shift allowance of £2.60 per hour)
- Nights Hourly rate: £18.69 (£14.79 plus a shift allowance of £3.90 per hour)
Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse/Hygiene Operative:
- To complete scheduled cleaning requirements to CIC’S standard
- To maintain daily, weekly & periodic sign off records ensuring correct and accurate completion
- To complete all hygiene operations in accordance with Health & Safety including COSHH, product safety, legality & quality requirements
- Promote clean as you go and work to these standards daily
- To always wear PPE correctly, hairnet, safety shoes, overalls, chemical resistant gloves, safety glasses and other PPE required
- Understand pest awareness and report any activity to your Line Manager
- To ensure a proactive approach is made towards Hygiene requirements and stride to be multiskilled
- Demonstrate knowledge of all cleaning equipment and materials and maintain to an high standard
- Ensure that a safe working environment exists for all colleagues and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set out in the safety, health and environment policy.
- Unload incoming vehicles as required and store materials following acceptance and GRN generation
- Work safely at all times, following health and safety policies and procedures and raising any concerns through appropriate channels
- Ensure the FLT fleet is fit for purpose by completing pre‑use documentation and reporting any vehicle or plant damage according to procedure
- Participate in training and support the development of colleagues when required, including acting as a mentor for new team members
Skills, Experience and Qualifications of the Warehouse/Hygiene Operative:
- Previous experience in same or similar role.
- Basic knowledge of Health and Safety.
- Ability to complete tasks thoroughly.
- Understanding of basic of food safety.
- Valid FLT licence with counterbalance would be advantageous
