We’re recruiting aField Service Engineer to join our team, covering the South East of London and Kent/ Sussex and East Sussex - Crawley being the ideal location to be based.


You don’t need to come from a traditional engineering background to succeed here. This role is ideal if you’ve worked in a hands‑on, practical environment and are comfortable using tools, fault‑finding and working independently. Experience involving electrical work, joinery, mechanical tasks or installation‑based roles is beneficial and full training is provided .


You’ll spend your day installing, servicing and repairing our stairlifts in customers’ homes. Just as important as technical ability is your drive to do a great job, manage your own workload and deliver a positive, professional customer experience.


This is a role for someone who enjoys owning your day, planning their time effectively and pushing themselves to succeed. A full, clean driving licence is required as you’ll be travelling within your region, and you’ll take part in a 1‑in‑4 on‑call rota , with additional payments for call‑outs.


Schedule



  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm

  • Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm

  • Weekend availability

  • 1 in 4 on‑call rota for evenings and weekends (paid if called out)


To be successful in this role, you’ll need:



  • Experience in a hands‑on, practical role , comfortable using tools and working in customers’ environments

  • Exposure to electrical work, joinery, mechanical tasks or installation‑based work (advantageous but not essential — full training provided)

  • A strong work ethic and drive to succeed , with the motivation to maximise performance and earnings

  • The ability to manage your own time effectively , plan your day and work independently

  • A customer‑focused approach , with good communication skills and a professional manner

  • Confidence working alone while also being part of a wider team

  • A flexible attitude , including willingness to work overtime and take part in an on‑call rota

  • Full, clean UK driving licence

  • Good local or regional geographic awareness
