We are recruiting a Clinical Coordinator to join our Clinical team based at our office in Gatwick, to provide support and clinical expertise, enabling the smooth running and service delivery of one of our key contracts. We are seeking a confident, self‑motivated communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment. You will work closely with our Operations team, as well as a range of internal and external stakeholders, building strong working relationships to support smooth and effective processes. With a keen eye for detail, you will review and record information, ensuring high levels of accuracy and compliance at all times.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. In addition, you will participate in an on‑call rota (1 week in 4), providing support for urgent out‑of‑hours inquiries.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the medical inbox by triaging, reviewing and coordinating all medical queries to assess an individuals’ suitability to fly and investigating any concerns raised.
- Recommending suitable clinical interventions or support requirements needed, feeding back to our client with results of any clinical investigations and escalating to the Clinical Service Delivery Manager where appropriate.
- Accurately documenting case notes within the relevant digital platform, to allow for suitable clinical guidance and intervention.
- Providing clinical input on IPRS Aeromed overseas operations.
- Playing an active role in MDT discussions supporting with complex cases, manifest screening, and case referrals.
- Participating as required in the investigation of incidents, complaints, or accidents.
- Supporting the Clinical Service Delivery Manager and Clinical Liaison Manager deputising in their absence.
- Providing clinical leadership, support, and guidance to the clinical team.
- Working with the management team to contribute to the continuous development and delivery of service within the guidelines and standards of the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Providing on‑call support for urgent out of hours enquiries on an on‑call rotation of 1 week in 4.
Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:
- Adult Nursing BSc or equivalent NMC recognised qualification OR Paramedic BSc or equivalent HCPC recognised qualification (E)
- Relevant registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) OR Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) – with no investigations/suspensions current or pending (E)
- Minimum 3 years post qualification experience as a paramedic or nurse (E)
- Policy and procedure development experience (D)
- Evidence of experience within a clinical triage setting (D)
- Evidence of consolidating post qualification practice (E)
- Clinical audit or quality improvement experience (D)
- Urgent / emergency care experience (E)
- Point of clinical escalation experience (E)
- Remote/ telephone triage experience (D)
- Technically literate with experience working with Microsoft 365 (E)
