Position: HR Officer
Based in: ABP Lurgan
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus flexibility to ensure business requests are satisfied in line with agreed targets.

About the Role:
Reporting to the site’s HR Manager and working closely with site’s leadership team, the HR Officer will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day delivery of HR operations, while acting as a trusted advisor to employees and management.This is a varied role that combines employee relations, recruitment, talent development, HR administration and culture initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment activities from advertising through to onboarding
- Support learning, development and employee engagement and wellbeing activities
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensuring HR systems are updated in a timely manner
- Assisting with employee relations matters, including note taking, investigations and disciplinary or grievance processes
- Monitor short term and long-term absences taking appropriate action to manage improvement
- Ensure compliance with employment law and Company policies
- Assist with payroll administration, reporting and provide holiday cover
- Produce HR reports and contribute to process improvements
- Provide HR advice and support to employees and managers
- Assist the Leadership team with ensuring workforce capability, training, competence and employee engagement to support food safety, quality and business objectives
The ideal Candidate will have:
- A qualification in Human Resources, Business or related discipline
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and high level of confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement
- Comfortable working with HR systems and maintaining employee data
- Collaborative, resilient and adaptable
