We have a position available for a Site Manager to join our site teams based in Codicote, Hertfordshire working on a development that comprises of timber frame traditional build houses.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Foster a positive and productive working relationship with all those who come into contact with the site.
  • Deal with customers, visitors, the public and Company staff in a courteous manner to promote a good image of the Company.
  • Prepare and present to the Building Director a detailed analysis carried out during a pre-planning process on the full concept of each new project, covering all aspects of safety, quality, presentation, sales and cost.
  • Carry out weekly Safety Inspections to ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Monitor and check setting out carried out by subcontractors to ensure accuracy prior to commencement of building and as required during construction.
  • Assist with training of any staff under your responsibility.
  • Assist Surveyor with ongoing and final account preparations.
  • Ensure roads, drainage, open space, etc. are completed and put into maintenance before leaving the site.

Skills & knowledge you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience of working within the Residential property or house builder sector.
  • Experience and knowledge of traditional build and timber frame structures.
  • Hold a professional or technical Building qualification or degree.
  • Ideally, MCIOB qualified or working towards.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of building regulations, health & safety legislation, NHBC standards and other required building standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with all levels of staff and clients.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and site operatives effectively.
