We are seeking a Management Accountant with a minimum of three years' experience to join our team.
The successful candidate will produce the management accounts for various business units and overhead departments within IPRS Health. You will produce management accounts for IPRS Group.
Supporting the Financial Controller and Finance Manager in preparing and explaining variances whilst business partnering with either the MSK or Mental Health senior leadership team to understand business drivers and to support them from a financial perspective.
Position: Permanent full time - Assistant Management Accountant
Hours: 40 hours per week Mon-Fri
Location: Claydon, Suffolk IP6 0FU / HYBRID. Candidates are required to live within 90 minutes commute maximum
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of management accounts for IPRS Health
- Balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Variance analysis against budget, prior month and prior year
- Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers
- Preparation of management accounts for smaller group entities.
- Ensure accurate ledger postings, from various sources, with a right first-time attitude.
- Liaising as required with other areas of the business to support smooth financial processes.
- To review and monitor processes and suggest ways to improve
- To work closely with other department leads and managers to ensure IPRS provides the best service to our clients
- To deputise for the Finance Manager when they are absent.
- Assisting with year-end audit
- Assisting with annual budgeting and forecasting
- To undertake any other duties compatible with the grading of the post, as required.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
- Qualified Accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA)
- A minimum of three years Accounting/Finance experience (E)
- Knowledge of Access Dimensions or similar accounting software (E)
- Computer literate, with good MS Excel and MS Word ability and a solid understanding of accounting software principles (E)

- Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and provide excellent customer service
- Ability to analyse problems, come up with effective solutions and implement these
- Ability to plan and organise workloads effectively
- Ability to prioritise and meet relevant Key Performance Indicators in a demanding environment
- Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision in a proactive manner
- Team worker who is flexible and has a positive attitude to learning and self-development
