About the Role: As a Senior Quality Engineering Manager at Roq, you will play a critical role in leading teams and clients towards excellence in software quality and delivery. You’ll champion Roq’s Quality Engineering (QE) principles, Solution Framework, and values, ensuring quality is embedded across every stage of the software development lifecycle. You’ll work collaboratively with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to design, implement, and oversee robust testing and automation strategies that deliver measurable value. This includes leading complex client engagements, facilitating technical discussions, and ensuring test coverage, reporting, and execution are aligned to project goals and best practices. Beyond project delivery, you will be a key advocate for continuous improvement; coaching and mentoring others, promoting knowledge sharing, and helping to shape Roq’s thought leadership across the industry. You’ll also contribute to business growth by supporting client workshops, RFPs, and discovery sessions from a delivery perspective. This is a hands‑on leadership role for an experienced quality professional who combines technical expertise with strategic insight, thrives in dynamic environments, and is passionate about developing people and driving quality excellence across multiple clients and teams.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Be an advocate, champion and coach for the Roq Values, Consultant Mind‑Set and Solution Framework, inclusive of QE Principles.
  • Proactively look to drive the growth of Roq by sharing updates and positive Client activities internally and externally, encouraging and helping team members to participate.
  • Perform in‑depth analysis on systems or system components, where required.
  • Proactively lead discussions with IT Leadership, key Business stakeholders, Business Analysts, test engineers, technical resources and Subject Matter Experts to ensure test‑ware and coverage are appropriate.
  • Design and create test cases, and test data, tracking test cases against requirements, peer review/feedback for other team members, where required.
  • Facilitate, manage and oversee the design, build and maintenance of automated test solutions using standard industry tooling.
  • Proactively work with Marketing and Sales departments, shaping, from a Delivery perspective, client workshops, RFP’s and discovery sessions.
  • Manage and work collaboratively across diverse client teams in the execution of all appropriate testing levels.
  • Manage, review, create and maintain detailed test execution schedules aligned with test estimates.
  • When required, carry out structured test execution across test levels, including functional automation, exploratory and static testing.
  • Accountability and responsibility for the accurate recording of test results and collation of the appropriate test evidence.
  • Raise, triage, manage and re‑test defects.
  • Proactively look to coach and mentor team members and anyone wishing to upskill.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by the company.

Knowledge and key skills:

  • An in‑depth knowledge of various development methodologies (Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid).
  • An understanding of object‑oriented programming skills (Java or C#).
  • A good understanding of the application of test automation frameworks.
  • In‑depth experience of working in Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) environments.
  • A good understanding of the test automation tools market (as well as supporting tools) and their appropriate usage.
  • A good understanding of approaches to test automation.
  • Previous experience of coaching/mentoring and facilitating the development of others.
