Job Overview: Middlefields House is seeking a proactive team player to manage cleaning duties for a 48‑resident care home. The role involves maintaining hygienic living spaces, handling laundry, and supporting the daily care team.
Responsibilities:
- Keep the home hygienic, fresh, and tidy.
- Liaise with the Manager about cleaning schedules and material stock control.
- Fold items correctly, distribute residents’ clothing, and store linen and household items safely.
- Maintain the laundry and linen stores in a safe, clean, tidy condition.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and catering equipment.
- Ensure all water and other spillages are cleaned up immediately.
- Maintain records as required by the manager.
- Attend meetings and training activities including fire and evacuation procedures.
- Perform other duties assigned by the manager within your capabilities.
Qualifications / Candidate Profile:
- Experience working with older people and an empathy for their needs.
- Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and reliably.
- Team‑player who can deliver excellent service to residents.
- Well‑organised, practical, and adaptable.
