- We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Painter & Decorator to join our hard‑working and friendly Maintenance team in our Essex Region covering 11 Care Homes.
Excelcare is a family‑owned Care Home group established for over 34 years.
We provide support to older people with a range of needs including dementia, physical disabilities and mental health issues.

Role Overview
This is a customer‑facing role where you will paint and decorate rooms, paintwork, corridors, lounges and other areas within residents’ homes.
The role requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Painter & Decorator, good attention to detail, a positive can‑do attitude and pride in your work.
Responsibilities
- Complete painting and decorating assignments across the 11 Care Homes.
- Work within residents’ homes and maintain a safe, tidy working environment.
- Use your own basic tools; all materials will be provided.
- Travel between Care Homes using your own vehicle; mileage paid via expenses.
- Provide excellent customer service and communication with residents and staff.
Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Painter & Decorator.
- Own basic tools.
- Full UK driving licence and personal vehicle to travel between homes.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Completion of an enhanced DBS (Criminal Records Check).
