About the role

Deputy Care Home Manager – Brook House Care Home, Cambridge. Brook House Care Home has 35 bedrooms and provides residential care, dementia care, respite, end of life care and day care. You will lead and support the team to deliver high-quality care and promote independence, choice, dignity and respect for residents every day.

Salary: £17.55 per hour

Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday – Sunday

Responsibilities

As Deputy Care Home Manager, you will:

  • Provide leadership to ensure high standards of care are delivered to meet residents’ support needs daily.
  • Coordinate and coach care and ancillary teams to continually improve quality standards, with outcomes recorded and measured effectively.
  • Ensure the team is supported to perform roles safely and provide the best care for residents.
  • Promote passion for high-quality care and enrichment of residents’ lives.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Experience within a nursing/care home setting for older people
  • In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations and legislation
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
