As we expand our UK presence, we are seeking a

Business Development Manager to accelerate growth, strengthen installer relationships, and develop our market share in the renewable energy distribution sector.

Role Overview

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new and existing installer accounts in the UK.

This role requires a proactive sales professional with strong knowledge of the solar PV industry, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to deliver sustainable sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Development
  • Identify and acquire new installer customers through prospecting, networking, and market research.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with solar PV installers, EPCs, and partners.
  • Present and promote Failte Solar UK’s product portfolio (modules, inverters, batteries, mounting systems, accessories).
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts within company guidelines.
  • Account Management
  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned installer accounts.
  • Understand installer needs and provide tailored solutions to support their business growth.
  • Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities.
  • Provide input into sales strategies, pricing models, and promotional campaigns.
  • Represent Failte Solar UK at industry events, exhibitions, and networking functions.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials, case studies, and sales tools.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports in CRM.
  • Work closely with Key Sales Managers, CRO, and wider UK/IE team to align on growth objectives.
  • Share market insights and customer feedback with management to shape product offerings.
