Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and motivated individual to join our team in Buckie. This is a hands-on role with a heavy focus on Cold Store operations, where you will play a crucial part in managing, loading, and rotating stock in a temperature-controlled environment.
Forklift experience is essential for this role. As an integral part of our daily operations, you will be expected to operate a forklift confidently from day one to handle stock safely and efficiently across our multiple sites, alongside driving the company van.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cold Store Operations: Managing inbound and outbound stock within the cold store, ensuring strict adherence to temperature-controlled storage protocols.
- Forklift Operations: Safely and efficiently operating forklifts to load outbound vehicles, unload deliveries, and move heavy stock daily.
- Stock Management: Unloading, allocating, and rotating stock to designated storage locations, including conducting weekly stock takes.
- Site-to-Site Transit: Driving the company van to safely transport goods between our multiple storage areas and production sites.
- Site Maintenance: Baling and disposing of paper/corrugate waste for recycling and conducting daily safety checks on vans and forklifts.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhering to all health and safety guidelines, including strict ASL nut and sesame policies to maintain a nut-free site.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Forklift Experience: Proven experience operating a forklift is essential and a core requirement for this role.
