We are now looking to recruit a full time, site based Honing Engineer on a day shift basis (Mon - Thu 8:00am - 5:00pm and Fri 8:00am - 4:00pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be able to set and operate the Honing machine
- Good understanding of Engineering drawings
- Maintaining high standards of documentation / product traceability
- Working to tight tolerances
- Used to using inspection equipment to check own work
- Working with Engineers to make and suggest improvements to the manufacturing processes
- Create methods of manufacture
- Combined with this experience, it is essential that you possess:
- A logical approach to problem solving
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Skills & Attributes:
- Hands on approach
- Structured approach to work with the ability and flexibility to meet tight deadlines
- Good communication skills in verbal and written formats
Qualifications & Experience:
- Ideal candidates will also have had exposure to / experience of:
- Knowledge of working to AS9100 & ISO9001 Standards
- A background in Aerospace / Automotive / Motorsport Manufacturing
- Ideally 4-5 years+ experience in Manufacturing environment of honing, ideally with cylinder liners / Cylinder Blocks
