Role Overview
The Company is expanding and establishing a new operational depot in Bristol. As such, multiple opportunities have arisen for suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join the team in Bristol in the position of Rental Technician. Reporting to the Team Leader and National Operations Manager, the Rental Technician will provide support to the area and regional team by delivering, collecting, and providing appropriate training on medical devices as part of the service offered to a wide range of Customers including NHS, Social & Long-Term Care and Private individuals.
This is a full-time role, and the Rental Technician will be required to participate in an on-call rota. The successful candidates will ensure all equipment and products are serviceable, prepared and maintained to a high standard and ensure equipment/product is available as and when requested.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver/install and provide ‘in service instruction’ on all equipment ensuring equipment is fully functional and users are aware of operating and emergency procedures.
- Collect used equipment from customers premises ensuring this is processed in accordance with the company’s infection control procedures.
- Respond to breakdowns in the field and exchange faulty products, where required, and complete all necessary documentation.
- Report all service-related issues to Line Manager and complete any necessary documentation to record fault.
- Ensure all jobs/works are completed either via electronic device or hard copy, liaising with the Office where necessary.
- Assist and support laundry activities to ensure that rental products undergo full decontamination, service, and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants should possess experience of delivery and/or installations along with experience gained in medical devices/healthcare environment. A DBS and background check will be required (company funded and supported). It is important the successful candidates can prioritise work and amend route plans accordingly, be positive and have a team orientated approach.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and people skills, capable of building strong relationships with team members and customers alike and be IT literate with proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and possess a UK driving licence.
